Forty of the south’s leading companies and organisations will be at a prestigious business event hosted by the Daily Echo tomorrow.

They have signed up to exhibit at South Coast Business Works 2013 at the Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton.

The event brings together local economic leaders and provides a platform for local businesses to promote themselves and make new contacts.

Visitors will also get the chance to hear from some of the region’s most inspirational businessmen and women.

Disabled yachtsman Geoff Holt will be opening the show at 9am, telling his story about how the 46-year-old from Hampshire became the first quadriplegic yachtsman to sail solo around Great Britain five years ago.

Keeping a workforce healthy, fit and committed will be the topic of Claire Mattinson’s talk from 11am.

The NHS worker will be discussing how the Workplace Well-being Charter provides a framework for action to support employers to build good practice in health and work within their organisation.

Employment lawyer and managing partner of exhibition sponsors Trethowans, Simon Rhodes, will present a session to help business owners and managers focus on getting the very best out of their people to achieve good business results from 1pm.

His talk will also cover recruiting good people, creating a culture of success, building a reputation based on your people and creating a good business.

Simon will also be joining a Question Time Business Panel which will be chaired by Lee Peck of Lee Peck Group from 2pm. A panel of experts will discuss the key issues affecting today’s business community so let us know the questions you would like put to the business panel.
