SCORES of people will take to the streets of Southampton tomorrow to protest against a controversial trade deal between the EU and USA.

The protest which will take place outside Southampton Central Train Station is part of a national day of action organised by campaigning group 38 Degrees.

Campaigners are fighting against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership - which they say will force the NHS open to competition from American healthcare providers and also allow international businesses sue the government if British laws affect their profits.

It will start at 11am, and people taking part will encourage people to get in touch with South of England MEPs, to ask them to oppose the trade deal in the European Parliament.
