A RECRUITMENT group on the expansion trail has moved its head office into a flourishing business park in Hampshire.

The arrival of Onsite, which employs 42 staff and has a £18m turnover, means the office suites at Delme Place, on the Cams Hall business park in Fareham, are fully let.

Relocating from Portsmouth city centre, the company has signed a five-year lease on the 4,240 sq ft ground floor at Delme 2 in a deal handled through commercial property consultancy Hughes Ellard.

Onsite supplies white-collar and blue-collar personnel to blue-chip clients, such as the operator of Heathrow Airport - Heathrow Airport Holdings (formerly BAA) - and London's £15 billion Crossrail.

It also works with small-to-medium sized businesses.

Darren Burnett, Onsite managing director and co-founder, said: "Underpinned by a quality, professional service, all-important industry accreditations and preferred supplier status, we are looking to expand organically and by way of acquisition.

"As part of our growth strategy, we anticipate creating a further 10 jobs at head office, an increase of nearly a quarter on current staff levels."

Onsite, which also has a telecoms division, previously operated out of Arundel House, Arundel Street, in Portsmouth's city centre.

Darren added: "Hughes Ellard is pleasure to work with. The managing director, Gary Jefferies, previously looked after our lease and rent reviews at our former premises. We were impressed with his knowledge and professionalism, so when we decided to relocate, Hughes Ellard was the firm we turned to."

Delme Place is owned by Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust (SREIT), a £291m property fund.

Other occupiers are data services specialist ServerHouse, Cobweb Solutions, the largest independent hosted exchange provider in Europe, and recruiters Carbon60 and Gerrell & Hard.

Rental details regarding privately-owned Onsite, which supplied agency staff to the London Olympic Games in 2012, were not disclosed.

Personnel supplied by Onsite play an important part in sectors which help drive the British economy.

They include construction, data, rail, industrial, automotive, oil and gas, electronics, manufacturing, aerospace defence, power and engineering, mechanical and electrical and building services and facilities.

Hughes Ellard's Harnish Patel, who specialises in business space and development, acted on behalf of SREIT.

He said: "With the letting to Onsite, we are now at 100% occupancy at Delme Place. Excellent motorway access and car parking, powerful internet connectivity and highly attractive surroundings are just a few of the key advantages of locating within the prestigious estate.

“The office sector has been gaining traction over the past 12 months. This looks set to continue in line with an improvement in business confidence and growth projections across the wide economy over the coming years.

"Business space has been driven by take-up from the professional services leading the way, with support services following suit."

He added: "This is a well-located office building offering modern Grade A specification space, with direct motorway access - suitable levels of parking are in short supply and in high demand.

"Many of the flagship purpose-built office buildings and campuses are now full or gaining momentum. Occupiers should now start reviewing the suitability of their existing space and future business needs much sooner.

"We would recommend seeking advice from a surveyor at least 18 months before a lease event, such as a rent review, break option or lease expiry."

The last remaining offices on the estate are located at Faretec, where Hughes Ellard is able to offer between 535 sq ft to 3,172 sq ft.
