A GLOBAL consultancy firm welcomed guests to the grand opening ceremony of their new Southampton base.

DEKRA Insight, which is an advisory firm that makes work safer for organisations around the world, opened their new headquarters at Southampton Science Park in Chilworth.

Romsey MP Caroline Nokes cut the ribbon at the ceremony following 18 months of careful planning to accommodate the ongoing growth of the firm’s UK operations.

The Southampton campus at Phi House provides the UK team with a dedicated laboratory wing and

state of the art facilities.

Regional director and project director Stephen Rowe said: “We are delighted to officially open our new facility after months of very diligent work by all the teams involved.

“The result is an outstanding facility built to the highest standards of safety and environmental efficiency that will enable us to grow in pursuit of our mission ‘Making Work Safer’.

“Combined with recent accreditations, we look forward to working closely with our customers to increase workplace safety and build positive safety

cultures through the

provision of our process safety testing, consulting and competence development services.

“We are extremely grateful to our parent company, DEKRA SE, who has shown a great deal of support in our mission and in this

project.”

DEKRA board member and head of the industrial business unit, Ivo Rauh, spoke to assembled staff and guests during the day along with the Romsey MP.

Tours of the new
