A WATERFRONT leisure destination in Hampshire has called full house on lettings.

The 100 per cent record occupancy was achieved at The Boardwalk at Port Solent, near Portchester, following a series of six restaurant signings through commercial property consultancy Hughes Ellard and joint agent Restaurant Property.

Tim Clark, Hughes Ellard’s retail director, said: “Increasing numbers of people are drawn to this thriving retail and leisure hub overlooking the yacht marina, with its French Riviera atmosphere and the restaurant sector is always quick to spot a footfall opportunity.”

Of the six lettings, five are new restaurants.

Casa Brasil has recently opened in a 4,675 sq ft unit, with a new terrace overlooking the marina. The outlet complements the company’s existing units in Southampton and Bournemouth.

Hot Rocks, a steakhouse, has taken 4,754 sq ft in a key position at the entrance to the scheme.

Relentless Steak and Lobster House has opened in a 2,500 sq ft space, with external terrace. The restaurant also offers an ice cream parlour and café facilities.

Brassiere Fish has opened in a 1,900 sq ft unit with outside terrace.

National restaurant chain Wildwood has leased 6,300 sq ft, including an outside terrace and overlooking the marina. The premises was previously occupied by Mexican restaurant Chiquito.

Meanwhile, pizza restaurant chain Prezzo has increased the size of the space both inside and outside and has undertaken a complete refit.

Tim said: “With the five new arrivals and the Prezzo expansion, Port Solent is calling full house. The scheme is now 100 per cent occupied.”

Gavin Waller, Port Solent’s centre manager from Workman LLP, acting on behalf of CBREGI, said: “We are delighted to be operating a fully let venue for the first time in a decade.

“Our visitors have come to expect incomparable dining experiences from Port Solent and we are excited to continue to be able to make this a reality.
