SOUTHAMPTON Itchen MP Royston Smith visited the city's new Gala Bingo club ahead of its opening in January next year.
The £5 million club in Antelope Park will be the company's first new build in nine years and is going to create 50 jobs.
As well as featuring a traditional, 500-seat bingo hall it is also going to feature a 'bingo pub' aimed at a younger audience.
The new club will also feature a slot machine arcade, pub-style food as well as an outdoor terrace.
After his visit, Mr Smith said: "Gala Bingo is a nationally renowned brand and very successful.
"Bingo is a game that has been enjoyed by people for many years and is as popular as ever.
"I welcome this new facility and the 50 new jobs it will create.
"Antelope Park, where the new Gala Bingo is located, has been an enormous success creating hundreds of new jobs for local people."
