Woman attacked while walking her dog

A WOMAN is in hospital today after being attacked as she walked her dog.

The 38-year-old was near the junction of Townhill Way and Lambourne Road in Southampton when her pet ran over towards two men.

Police say the woman was then left with injuries after being assaulted. She is currently being treated at Southampton General Hospital.

The incident happened between 3am and 3.30am today.

PC Toru Tsuzaki, from the Eastleigh District CID, said: “Our investigations are still in the early stages and we are conducting a range of enquiries to establish the exact circumstances of what has happened.

“The woman was out walking her dog when it appears she has been assaulted following an altercation with two men.

“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anything? Have you heard anything that could help us with our investigation? If so, please get in touch.”

Witnesses should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
