A Hampshire grandma is celebrating today after her luck came in on the Daily Echo's Find The Ball competition. She may have spent the past few weeks fighting illness, but life has just got better for 87-year-old Sylvia Morris this Easter, who has scooped £12,000 for being the nearest miss in this week’s competition. The great-grandmother-of-nine from Southampton said: “This makes me feel so much better because I have been poorly for three weeks and been unable to see my family due to the infection. I am going to be 88 in August so I may give myself a treat.” Also scooping a pot of cash this Easter is 74-year-old Angela Lewis, from Totton, who is the lucky winner of £4,000 for her nearest miss, while Mrs P Brown from Poole has won £8,000. As the jackpot has reached its £50,000 limit, £24,000 has been split between the three nearest misses from last week’s competition. The jackpot for the Daily Echo Find the Ball competition now stands at £26,000. If no one wins the jackpot £2,000 will go to the nearest miss. Make sure you pick up your copy of tomorrow’s Daily Echo for your chance to win £26,000.
