A RETIRED couple can resurrect their planned summer holiday after coming runners up in the Daily Echo Find the Ball competition.
John and Jackie O’Neill scooped £2,850 for the nearest miss.
The couple, from New Milton, want to use the cash for a coach trip to France.
It follows the disappointment of missing out on a holiday to Lille earlier this month when Jackie suddenly fell ill and spent three days in hospital.
It is their second win in five years and Jackie, 68, said: “This has really made my day.
“We lost all the money from our trip, but now it means we can do another one.”
The jackpot for tomorrow’s competition stands at £44,000 with a nearest miss of £2,900.
