A WINCHESTER woman is to take part in the 26-mile London Trekathon to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Vanessa Crookes, of Kings Worthy, will set off on Saturday, September 27, from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, ending up in Greenwich.
“From the Olympic Park the walk goes west through Victoria Park, along Regent’s Canal to London Zoo, before passing Lord’s cricket ground and the famous Abbey Road Studios,” she said. “The walk continues to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Downing Street and heads over to Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral. From there the walk continues east towards Canary Wharf, going under the Thames walking through the Greenwich foot tunnel.”
