A KITE surfer had to be rescued by lifeboat crews after he got into difficulty at sea.
The Sandown and Shaklin Independent Lifeboat was called on Thursday evening following reports that the kite surfer needed help, drifting in Sandown Bay.
The crew towed the uninjured man back to shore and thanked members of the public for calling 999.
