A FAMILY fun day has bounced back after taking a break last year.
Hundreds of people living in the Chandler’s Ford area flocked to a recreation ground to celebrate the revival of the Hiltingbury Extravaganza.
The popular celebration has entertained thousands since it was first held more than a decade ago.
A shortage of volunteers resulted in the 2011 event being cancelled and last year’s show was also unable to take place.
But this year’s line-up more than made up for the disappointment experienced by residents in 2013.
Attractions included face painting, pony rides and the chance to ride a 100m zipwire. Live bands provided plenty of music throughout the afternoon.
Organised by Hiltingbury Community Association and the Hilt Community Centre, the event was held at Hiltingbury Recreation Ground.
