GET your hair crimpers at the ready and prepare for pop - it’s time to dust off your legwarmers as  the line up for next year’s Let’s Rock! festival is revealed.

Southampton Common will once again be awash with the sights and sounds of the 1980s with the cream of the decade taking to the stage for a party like no other.

On the bill will be Bucks Fizz, Five Star and Hot Chocolate, the Thompson Twins’, Tom Bailey, Rick Astley, Boney M, T’Pau and Jimmy Somerville.

Pop royalty Alexander O’Neal, Nik Kershaw, Midge Ure, Betty Boo and Heaven 17 will also be appearing, while The Beat and Sam Fox have also been ||confirmed. In between sets Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers will also be entertaining the crowds along with comperes Pat Sharp |and Dave Benson Phillips.

After the success of this year’s inaugural sell-out event, which saw more than 12,000 people party in the park, organisers have increased the capacity to 15,000 with a pledge to make it the biggest event of its kind in the country.

Organiser Matt Smith said: “This summer Southampton embraced the 80s so we’re back with a fantastic line-up to get the party started.

“We have increased the capacity for 2015 and expect to sell out early. We want to grow Let’s Rock Southampton into the biggest 80s festival in the UK.”

Early bird tickets for next year's festival which takes place on July 11, go on sale today with tickets on general release on November 1.

Next year’s event will also feature a 80s themed VIP enclosure, where you can pay a visit to a team of stylists for the ultimate 80s makeover or sit back and relax in the comfy chill-out zone or enjoy an outdoor seating area. The event is aimed at the whole family with children also being at the heart of the action. Youngsters can enjoy the new “Let's Rock! Playpen”, along with circus workshops, face painting, crafts, tricycles and the “Disco Shack”.
