IT'S one of the hottest dance tracks of the year - and its music video features some familiar sights.

Southampton-based music group Foor's reworking of Monsta Boy's garage classic I'm Sorry has taken the music world by storm and its high-tempo music video has already notched thousands of views since it was released this week.

Instead of the three-minute clip being set in a more national familiar setting such as London, the entire clip is set in Southampton and features a freerunner using some of the city's most recognisable landmarks as a platform for breathtaking jumps and flips.

Freerunner Danny Morgan, from Southampton, stars in the video and shows off his parkour skills in the city centre, the old walls, and on the seafront.

Saints' St Mary's stadium, the cenotaph, the bandstand in Palmerston Park, and the shops in London Road are just some of the recognisable sights in the video.

The song has already achieved airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, and has gained celebrity recognition on social media websites.

Foor is led by 31-year-old Gavin Foord, a former Testwood School pupil from Totton, and features Paul Atkinson from Shirley, Dave Wiggins from Romsey, and Jon Doe from Brockenhurst.

Gavin has been a professional DJ since the age of 19 and met Jon as the pair worked in the former Movement Records store in Above Bar Street.

He has since performed with the likes of Calvin Harris, Grandmaster Flash, Rudimental, Chase & Status, Zane Lowe, and DJ Fresh.

Now they are on the brink of hitting the big time with Foor and Gavin said more tracks are on the horizon.

He said: “I am really happy with the video to I'm Sorry. I know early doors hat this record was good and when I played it to the record label I knew it was going to do well.

“We are all from Southampton, the record was made in the city, and we support the Saints. People have always said to me that if you want to make music and get anywhere you have to be in London, but it feels good that everything we have done with this has been in Southampton.”

The track and video has gained support from The Only Way is Essex stars Sam and Billie Faiers, and Fern McCann, Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe, and chart-toppers Sigma.

Gavin added: “We have had a really good reaction and the response from people in Southampton has been amazing.

“Everyone is very receptive with the fact that Southampton is on board. People who have moved away have said it's nice to see places they remember.

“People are saying we have shot Southampton in a good light, which is what we wanted.”
