THE average cost of a home in Southampton has risen to £192,300, new figures have revealed.
House prices in the city have grown at a faster rate than those in London in recent months, property analyst Hometrack has reported.
London property prices increased by 0.5 per cent in the three months to November, but Southampton has seen an increase of 0.9 per cent in the same period.
Hometrack says Southampton house prices have risen 10.1 per cent or £17,600 in the past year.
