A SOUTHAMPTON tobacco shop worker was threatened at knife point in a terrifying robbery last night.
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the incident at W.White Tobacconist in London Road.
A man entered a shop brandishing a knife he then threatened the shop worker and asked him to open the till before stealing the cash and running off towards the High Street.
The robber is described as white; six foot one inches tall, unshaven with ginger stubble and was wearing a black wooly hat, a black jacket with a logo and blue jeans.
The incident happened at 3.11pm and this morning the shop was still closed.
