TRAINEE beauticians will get a kickstart in their careers as a new beauty school opens its doors to students.

Naomi O’Hara Training Academy in Newton Lane, Romsey, was launched by Naomi O’Hara, from Romsey, after 20 years working in the industry.

She said: “I just felt that there was a massive gap in the market. If you wanted to learn something you had to go into huge classes and it could take a year or two to get started.”

The academy will provide fast-track training in a working clinic for both therapists and qualified beauticians wishing to broaden their skills and the small classes and one-to-one tuition they provide will mean that some students could qualify in as little as six days.

Students will get a choice of a range of qualifications, including VTCT beauty therapy and NVQ levels two, three and four, including covering micro pigmentation, medical tattooing, breast reconstruction and laser hair removal.

The academy, which has also opened a clinic in Portsmouth, is keen to hear from people willing to be models and receive concessional rates for treatments.
