POLICE officers have been given more time to quiz a man who was arrested after a body was discovered.
The 52-year-old was arrested after the body of a 72-year-old man was found in a garage on the Isle of Wight.
The body was found by police officers who were called to a home in Green Lane in the Northwood area of Cowes shortly after midnight on Monday.
A police spokesperson said: βAn extension was granted around lunchtime today by the courts giving police permission to hold the arrested man for a further 32 hours.
"He continues to be questioned.β
Police would not reveal what he has been arrested on suspicion of and a post mortem is being carried out on the deceased today.
