A MAN was attacked and robbed as he walked home in the early hours.
The 21-year-old victim was walking through the Hammonds Green area of Totton when he was confronted by three men who stole his car keys and £40 in cash before running off in the direction of Water Lane.
Police say the victim was left shaken but otherwise uninjured.
One of his assailants is described as white, 6ft, aged in his late teens or early twenties, skinny with a beard or stubble. He was wearing a grey hooded top and black gloves.
The other two were 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins and wearing hooded tops. All three are thought to have been wearing baseball caps.
A police spokesman said: “Police believe the offenders are local and are appealing for information that could assist with their enquiries.
“Detectives would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the robbery, saw anyone suspicious in the area at the time or knows who is responsible.”
The incident took place at 1.45am last Saturday but details have only just been released.
