WORK on Southampton's Civic Centre Clock Tower is set to be completed in July.
Scaffolding has been up on the tower since last July for major work to repair the 1930s structure to take place.
The £350,000 project was given the go ahead last year after a violent storm on Christmas Eve 2013 blew off part of its roof and caused other damage.
Workers have replaced the roof and carried out repairs to its clock face, bell louvres, external stonework cladding and internal bell supports.
City council leader Simon Letts confirmed that the scaffolding is expected to come down in July, although the extent of further stonework repairs may cause that to change.
He said: "When you investigate a much-loved building and put scaffolding up, extra things come forward and we have effectively tried to get everything right so we don't have to put up scaffolding for another decade."
