A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after an incident involving hazardous materials.
Teams from South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) and four crews from Hightown and Redbridge Fire Station were called out to her home in Millais Road in Woolston last night.
The incident involved an unknown substance.
An ambulance crew, an ambulance officer and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) from SCAS arrived at the scene at 7.45pm.
They then called for help from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service at 9.13pm.
A SCAS spokewoman said: "We were called at 19.45 last night. We sent one ambulance crew, one ambulance officer and our HART team and one patient was taken to Southampton General Hospital in a serious condition."
It is unclear what the substance was.
Nobody else was injured in the incident.
