GRAB your leg warmers, crimp your hair and hold on tight.

More than 10,000 revellers will be whisked back to the 1980s next weekend as some of the biggest music stars of that era turn Southampton Common into one big party.

There will be denim dungarees aplenty and a feast of neon lycra as all-day 80s fest Let’s Rock! returns to the city for its second year following its huge success on its inaugural event last summer.

Daily Echo:

More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold for the concert which will see back-to-back performances from the likes of Sam Fox, Boney M, Five Star, Hot Chocolate, Midge Ure and Kim Wilde.

As the sun goes down the crowd will be treated to performances from heartthrob Nik Kershaw as well as Jimmy Somerville before headline act Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, closes the show.

Although there is less than a week to go, it’s not too late to book tickets for the one-day festival which once again will be hosted by children’s TV legends Pat Sharp and Dave Benson Philips.

But you could also be one of 10 lucky Daily Echo readers who could win tickets for you and three friends or family members as we team up with Let’s Rock! to offer a bumper ticket giveaway today.

Charity Child Bereavement UK is once again set to benefit from the gig, having been chosen as a charity partnership by organisers Matt Smith and Nick Billinghurst.

As well as a main stage for music, there will also be a children’s zone where there will be plenty of things to entertain youngsters while there will also be plenty of stalls at the site selling food and drink.

For the second year, a park and ride scheme will run from the sports ground in Wide Lane, Eastleigh, throughout the day while a shuttle bus service will be operating between Town Quay, West Quay and Southampton Common.

There is no other event parking available.

Gates will open on the pathway near to The Cowherds pub on The Avenue on Saturday at 11am with music starting at noon and continuing throughout the day until 10.30pm.
