NEIGHBOURS have criticised a Hampshire couple’s plans for a new garage.
The Haddons have applied for a two-bay oak beam garage at their home in Crawley, near Winchester.
But Jeffrey Pickering has urged the city council to reject the plans, saying it would ruin views of the village pond and force him to cut back several trees.
He said: “It constantly receives visitors, artists and photographers from Europe and worldwide throughout all seasons.”
Mr Pickering suggested that a restrictive covenant on his own home, Yeomans, could block the work.
Another neighbour, Robert Adam, criticised the lack of detail in the Haddons’ application.
The plans can be viewed on the council’s online planning site.
