A CYCLIST has been injured in a "serious" collision that has closed a busy Hampshire road.
The A32 in Wickham is currently closed in both directions after the incident at Hoads Hill.
A police spokesman confirmed a cyclist had been involved in the collision with a car and had suffered "serious head injuries".
The spokesman said: "We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A32 in Wickham.
"We were called to the scene just after 11.15am to reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist, close to Hoads Hill.
"The cyclist is reported to have suffered serious head injuries "Officers are currently on scene, with colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service.
"The road has been closed in both directions as emergency crews deal with the incident.
"Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible and we would like to thank drivers for their patience."
