POLICE are trying to find a driver after a man was injured when he was knocked off his bike by a car that failed to stop.

The 52-year-old from Southampton was cycling along St Denys Road when the incident happened at the junction of Kent Road at about 8am yesterday.

He suffered minor injuries and his bike was significantly damaged.

Police want to trace the driver of a small silver vehicle possibly with an 08 plate that was seen turning right at this junction.

They think the vehicle involved may have damage to the front end as a result of what happened.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to call them on 101.
