A woman was airlifted to hospital after a collision.
The woman was reportedly crossing Southampton Road in Ringwood at around 4.30pm yesterday when she was hit by a Ford Focus.
South Central Ambulance Service attended along with the air ambulance, which transported the woman to Southampton General Hospital.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire police said she had suffered "serious but not life threatening" injuries.
The spokesman said police are 'in discussions' with the male driver, but said the incident was not being treated as a hit and run.
“We know who he is and we’re making further enquiries with him,” she said.
The road was closed for several hours while officers investigated the scene.
