TRANSPORT police have launched a manhunt after a car was vandalised at a Southampton train station.
British Transport Police are tracing a man who could help with an investigation into an incident at Netley Railway Station on Saturday, January 9.
The incident happened around 9.20pm and officers have isolated CCTV footage of a man believed to have information.
Investigating officer PC Lisa Roberts said: “The victim left his car overnight at Netley station car park and when he returned in the morning found one of the doors had been damaged.
“CCTV footage shows a man alighting a train at Netley station before walking down the platform. The man then uses a blunt instrument to try and force a car door open over a fifteen minute period. This caused £285 worth of damage to the car.”
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to call 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 quoting reference 291 of 08/02/2016.
Alternatively information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
