FIREFIGHTERS used a tractor to rescue a small dog from a pile of logs in the New Forest.
Crews from Lyndhurst joined a team from the Forestry Commission after the Jack Russell called Bernie became trapped in the large pile near to the B3054 in Beaulieu yesterday.
The crews used a tractor, loader, strops and chocks to free the seven-year-old dog, with the entire operation lasting for almost two hours, with the dog eventually freed uninjured at 2.41pm.
