More than 10,000 youngsters are heading to Hampshire for a music festival today.

The organisers of this weekend’s Soundclash event have said they are working closely with the police to ensure that festival goers have a safe and enjoyable time.

Around 10,000 people are expected to attend the festival on today at Somerley House near Ringwood.

Police will be on site along with security staff to ensure the festival is enjoyed safely.

As reported by the Daily Echo, police had issued advice to festival goers ahead of the event in which they stated how long the entertainment was due to last.

Hampshire police has now clarified that the main stage will close at around 11pm with acts continuing within tented stages around the site at a reduced noise level until 2am.

Organiser of the event Ryan Keary said that the event team had been working closely with the police in all aspects of planning the event to ensure it was enjoyed by all those who attended.
