THOUSANDS of visitors headed to Beaulieu Motor Museum for the annual Truck Mania festival.

The Bank Holiday extravaganza saw the giants of motoring return for the fourth year.

The Beaulieu Truck Pull drew crowds with individuals and teams hitching up to one of two truck cabs before pulling them in a head-to-head contest across the arena.

In a special feature, Truck Agility gave drivers the chance to challenge their skills and manoeuvre cabs around a tricky obstacle course.

On a smaller scale Mini Truck World in the Grand Marquee recreated the world of road haulage in miniature, with remote-controlled trucks acting out everything that their full-sized counterparts do.

The 'people's choice' award was given to James Hargrave and his two year old daughter Mia for their 'Frozen' decorated Daf truck whilst 400 medals were given out for the tug-a-truck challenge.

Events manager Judith Maddox said: "We had a stunning display of more than 200 trucks. Crowds cheered as a caravan was crushed by Big Pete and The Grim Reaper monster trucks in a final display to round off the events."
