PLANNING chiefs will meet to run the rule over controversial plans to create a seven-bed shared house.

The owner of the five-bedroom house at 225 Burgess Road in Southampton wants to turn it into a seven bedroom house of multiple occupation (HMO).

Two councillors, John Hannides and Beryl Harris, have objected to the “size, scope and density” of the proposed extension, while East Bassett Residents Association has also raised concerns.

Council officers have recommended that the city council’s planning committee approve the plans at its next meeting on June 7.
