Southampton school to remain shut in aftermath of severe weather
A Southampton school will remain closed on Monday in the aftermath of severe weather hitting the county.
Thornhill Primary School in Byron Road was shut following thunderstorms and torrential rain on Thursday.
Now Southampton City Council has announced the school will not open again until later next week.
A council spokesman said: "They have extended the closure to Monday. Staff will be in over the weekend and we will announce anything further on Monday."
