A SOUTHAMPTON CHURCH is calling for unity after the EU referendum.
The Victory Gospel Church in Portswood, Southampton, wants the community to be brought come together by celebrating diversity.

The church is holding its International Weekend tomorrow and Sunday. It is made up of people from 50 different nations and every year celebrates the nations and cultures of the entire world with its International Weekend.
The reverend Josh White said: “Our nation and our city has been shaken by the result... People have been divided and there has been aggression from both sides.
“We want to use this celebration this year to bring our community together and let them know that, regardless of how they voted, or where they are from, now is not the time to fight but to unite and bring a sense of community back to our city and our nation.”
The event on Saturday will be a fun day for all the family, with have a bouncy castle, face-painting, a free barbecue and a performance by the Watoto Children’s Choir. On Sunday there will be a celebration of all the nations and the Watoto choir will be performing perform once again.
The Watoto Children’s Choir are all orphaned or abandoned vulnerable children from the Kampala or northern region of Uganda and they carry a message of hope with their performances. They are part of an organisation that provides homes, food and education to thousands of orphans in Uganda.
