Firefighters tackle flames close to Hampshire school
FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle flames close to a Hampshire school.
Crews went to land near Brune Park Community School in Military Road, Lee on Solent at 10pm last night to find a patch of burning grass close to a cycle path.
Teams from Gosport fire station used buckets of water to put out the flames.
Crew manager Allan Cole said the fire caused minor damage to the grass.
It is unknown how the fire started.
