SIX people have been charged with smuggling phones and drugs into a Hampshire prison.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary's serious and organised crime unit launched an investigation into alleged smuggling of illegal items into Winchester Prison.
As part of Operation Rabbit, six people have been charged with a variety of offences.
Rebecca Vaughan, 23, of Primrose Close in Chandler's Ford, has been charged with conspiracy to convey mobile phones into prison, entering into an arrangement to facilitate the acquisition of criminal property, and possession of criminal property.
Danielle Carr, 23, of Hawkhill in Dibden, has been charged with conspiracy to convey mobile phones into prison and entering into an arrangement to facilitate the acquisition of criminal property.
Suritai Phanthiva, 26, and twenty-four-year-old Ben Carr, both formerly of HMP Winchester, have been charged with conspiracy to convey mobile phones into prison.
Meanwhile 20-year-old Rhona Pack of Greenway Road in Gosport has been charged with conspiracy to convey mobile phones into prison and conveying steroids into the prison.
And Connie Rooke, 25, of Park Mews, Park Gate, has been charged with entering into an arrangement to facilitate the acquisition of criminal property.
