Five stabbings in 11 days shocked Southampton and Eastleigh last month - and this is how it unfolded.

The first stabbing took place on Friday, June 9, at a house in Stafford Road in Shirley. It saw three people injured: a man and woman in their 20s and a man in his 50s, who was also charged in connection with this incident. He is due to appear at Southampton Crown Court today.

On Sunday, June 11, a 37-year-old woman was arrested after a 35-year-old man was stabbed in a flat in Ocean Village. She has since been bailed until September while officers continue to investigate.

The following day, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed several times in Eastleigh, which saw Grantham Green Park cordoned off.

Tuesday saw a reprieve, but late on Wednesday, June 14, paramedics called police after treating a man in his 40s for injuries to his head and a stab to his torso in Puffin Close, Lordswood. His injuries were not life-threatening, but officers continue to investigate who did it.

By Sunday, June 18, officers had charged a 15-year-old boy from Southampton for the Eastleigh attack.

Simmering fears in the community came to a boiling point on Monday, June 19, when a 60-year-old man was seriously injured on Burgoyne Road in Thornhill.

Officers launched a major search for the attackers, and by Wednesday, June 21, two 18-year-old men, two 15-year-old boys, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, all from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and bailed until September.
