There are five closures on the M27 in the coming days - with one expected to cause up to 30 minute delays.

National Highways has compiled its latest list, with two existing overnight closures for roadworks continuing and three more set to begin within the next two weeks.

All bar one are set to cause minor delays of under 10 minutes to drivers' journeys.

The most impactful will see junctions 7 to 9 on the westbound carriageway closed for one night to carry out barrier repairs.

Here is the list in full:

• M27, from 8pm February 13 2023 to 6am February 17 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 4 to junction 8, carriageway, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing work.

• M27, from 9am November 13 2023 to 5pm February 23 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 3 to junction 2, 24/7 hard shoulder closure for structures work.

These are the three closures that will begin over the next two weeks:

• M27, from 8pm January 4 to 6am January 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 5 to junction 7, Lane closures for SSEPD.

• M27, from 8pm January 8 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound to M3 northbound, link road lane closure for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme.

• M27, from 8pm January 15 to 5am January 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 9 to junction 7, carriageway closure for barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
