The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

ANDREW KETTLEWELL, 51, of West Hill Park, Fareham pleaded guilty to exceeding a variable speed limit of 40mph on the M27 near Fareham. He was travelling between junctions ten and nine in a Peugeot when he was caught by an automatic speed camera at 69mph. Kettlewell was fined £253 and received six points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £110 and a £101 surcharge. 

ALBERT BOWERS, 63, of Botley Road, Southampton admitted failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver. This related to a Ford that was alleged to have been used in an offence. He was fined £660 and received six points on his licence. Bowers must also pay court costs of £110. 

ALEX GRINTER, 34, of Chard, Somerset admitted racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress towards a police officer. Grinter also admitted assault by beating on the M27. He received a two-year community order with 30 days of rehabilitation activity and a £100 fine. Grinter must also pay £50 compensation.

MYLEY COLLINS, 25, of New Road, Netley pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified. She was driving a Misbubishi L200 DT16PHZ on Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh. Collins was given a 12-month community order with 15 days of rehabilitation activity and 60 hours of unpaid work. Collins was banned from driving for eight months and must pay £85 as well as a £114 surcharge.

MATTHEW KOFOED, 44, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence. The incident took place on High Street, Southampton and involved a police officer. Kofoed received a community order until July 23, 2025 with 20 rehabilitation days and 150 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation.

CIARAN KELLY, 59, of Everton Road, Hordle pleaded guilty to drink driving on West End Road, Southampton. Kelly was caught with 112 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. They were given a one-year community order with 15 rehabilitation days and a £750 fine. Kelly must pay £85 court costs and a £300 surcharge.
