The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

IOANA DIMA, 45, of Derby Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to common assault of an emergency worker in Southampton. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £50 compensation. 

MAHRUKH BASHIR, 44, of Elmwood Crescent, London admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Southampton. He received a community order until July 31, 2025, with 120 hours of unpaid work. Bashir was banned from driving for 24 months and must pay court costs of £85 plus a £114 surcharge. 

CRAIG HOLMES, 32, of Shore Road, Kilcreggan pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving an Audi A5 on the A31 westbound at Castle Malwood Hill near Lyndhurst. Holmes received a 12 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work. He was banned from driving for 30 months and must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.

CRISTI-ANDREI BOTEZATU, 28, of Portsmouth Road, Southampton admitted drink driving a Peugeot Speedfight on Portsmouth Road, Southampton. Botezatu was banned from driving for 29 months and was sentenced to six weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. He must pay £85 court costs and a £154 surcharge. 

HARVEY MARCHANT, 23, of Botley Road, Fair Oak pleaded guilty to drink driving a VW Golf at Pavillion Close in Fair Oak. He was fined £300 and received 10 points on his licence. Marchant must pay £85 court costs and a £120 surcharge. 

IAN HOWELL, 46, of Clovelly Road, Southampton was found guilty of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a drill bit which he was found with at Osborne Road South, Southampton. Howell was jailed for 18 weeks.

STEWART JACKSON, 38, of Ormond Close, Fair Oak pleaded guilty to drink driving on Ormond Close. He was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £400. Jackson must pay £200 court costs and a £160 surcharge.
