A man has been arrested after a £5,000 reward was offered to help a police manhunt.
Officers were looking for the man - who had links to Southampton and Bristol - in the Portsea area of Portsmouth who had connections to Southampton.
Crimestoppers issued an appeal with a £5,000 reward urging people to come forward with any information about him.
Hampshire police had previously said the man was wanted on recall to prison for breaching his licence conditions. They issued an appeal on January 15.
Now police have said they have arrested a 24-year-old man. They did not give details as to why the man was arrested.
He is currently in police custody, a spokeswoman said.
She said: "Thanks for your help in sharing our appeal - we do appreciate it."
