Motorists have been warned as around 2,000 cyclists set off through Southampton with a popular drum and bass DJ. 

Southampton City Council's highways team has warned that 2,000 cyclists will be passing through the city centre towards Shirley and Portswood. 

The event is being hosted by popular freewheeling DJ, Dom Whiting who was due to set off at around 2pm from Guildhall Square.

The artist has returned to the city for his first ride of 2024. 

He previously received a police escort when he hosted a similar event two years ago. 

Motorists have been warned that this may affect traffic.
