It's set to be one special homecoming, a dream come true for one of the UK's fastest rising, unique and in demand pop acts who always dreamed of gracing the Guildhall stage.

Breakout British star Caity Baser, who grew up in Chandlers Ford, is set to play her biggest Southampton show to date, the city's 02 Guildhall one of 13 venues on her highly anticipated Still Learning UK tour.

It's been a whirlwind for the 21-year-old, who has gone from playing small shows to a few dozen people to a festival favourite with her own headline arena tour in a matter of months.

She told the Daily Echo: "I went to Richard Taunton College and I would walk past and look in and think I'd love to play there one day. We even used to hang out there. My friends would skate and I'd sit there and dream.

"I think that's why I'm really looking forward to it, it's like coming full circle. Especially as lots of people told me I wouldn't make it.

"My last gig in Southampton was at Engine Rooms, which was so funny as that's where me and my friends used to go and rave! My favourite teacher turned up backstage to see me, so I'm hoping to see lots of family, friends and former teachers at the Guildhall!

The former Thornden School pupil, who has recently moved to London, is enjoying proving people wrong after a Brit Award nomination, gaining a massive fanbase and being hailed as one to watch by NME.

She added: "Growing up was not fun for me, school was not fun for me. I was the loud theatre kid no-one understood. People thought I'd never be anybody, but life is crazy now. I'm enjoying it, I love the chaos!"

The latest tour is in support of Caity's Still Learning mixtape, featuring 14 tracks on "friendships, relationships, the good, bad and ugly of life, and finding my feet".
