The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

CHRISTOPHER JELF, 49, of High Street, Seaview admitted to exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M27 between junctions ten and nine near Fareham. He was driving westbound when he was clocked at 60mph in a Volkswagen. He was caught by an automatic speed camera. Jelf also admitted to driving without insurance. He was banned for six months and fined £80. Jelf must also pay £300 court costs and a £32 surcharge. 

IJAZ SUMRA, 28, of Graham Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to assault by beating and sending a letter, communication or article conveying a threatening message. He was ordered to pay £125 compensation, a £640 fine, £85 court costs and a £256 surcharge. 

KAILA NASH, 18, of Gosport Lane, Lyndhurst admitted to driving without a licence on Bernard Street, Southampton. He was fined £53 and received three points on his licence. Nash was ordered to pay £26 court costs and a £21 surcharge.

ALAN CASS, 48, of Manning Close, Eastleigh pleaded guilty to obstructing or resisting a constable in the execution of their duty. He was fined £80. 

DONALD CAMPBELL, 59, of Coleman Street, Southampton admitted to failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver or rider of a vehicle, namely a Peugeot Expert. Campbell was banned from driving for six months and received six points and a £466 fine. Campbell must pay £85 court costs. 

VICTORIA PETERS, 35, of Howards Mead, Pennington pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker in Southampton. She also pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after £36 worth of Lynx gift sets were stolen from Boots Chemist in Lymington. She received a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £86 compensation.
