A man has been taken to hospital after two men tried to swim in the Solent.
Lymington RNLI was called out to the incident on Saturday.
It said that one of the men was treated in hospital for hypothermia after he attempted the early morning swim.
The local branch of the RNLI is now warning residents of the dangers of sea swimming, particularly as the winter cold still lingers as we head into spring.

A spokesperson from Lymington RNLI Lifeboat Rescue said on Sunday: “Two men rescued from the sea and one taken to hospital with suspected hypothermia after early morning swim yesterday.
“We warn all swimmers that the sea temperature is still low and cold-water shock is dangerous.
"Call 999 quickly if you see someone in difficulty.”
The men were rescued by RNLI crews using a lifeboat.
