The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

LUKE GARDNER, 31, of Millbrook Road East, Southampton pleaded guilty to common assault, common assault of an emergency worker and assault by beating. Gardner also admitted theft from a shop after items worth £9.90 were stolen from Iceland in Southampton. He was given a 16-week sentence suspended for 18 months with 20 rehabilitation days. Gardner was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £154 surcharge. 

MARK CONNOLLEY, 37, of Duddon Close, West End was found guilty of assault by beating. He was given a one-year community order with a mental health treatment requirement, ten rehabilitation days and a £50 fine. Connolley must also pay £200 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

MATTHEW WHITLOCK, 26, of Outer Circle, Southampton admitted to driving without a licence and driving without insurance on a Motocross motorbike in Sinclair Road, Southampton. He also pleaded guilty to sending an offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and two counts of criminal damage. These relate to damage caused to a front door and a car index number. Whitlock received a two-year community order with electronic monitoring and 15 rehabilitation days. He was also given six points on his licence and must pay £85 court costs.

KYLIE BISHOP, 35, of James Weld Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to refusing to provide a sample for a Class A drug test at Southampton Central Police Station. She also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to bail and failing to answer to bail. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 court costs plus a £48 surcharge.

ADRIAN BAJENA, 33, of Cranbury Avenue, Southampton admitted theft from a shop after he stole two baguettes worth £6.10 from Greggs in Southampton. He received a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £6.10 in compensation.
