A CYCLIST was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after a crash.

Now police are appealing for information after the collision, which happened on Saturday evening.

A silver Toyota Auris which had been travelling east on New Road in Havant was involved in a collision with a 61 year-old cyclist at the roundabout.

The cyclist, a local man, was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to serious head injuries where he remains. The car driver, a 50 year-old woman, from Havant was uninjured.

The road was closed for around three hours to allow a full investigation of the scene.

It happened at the New Road roundabout close to the Civic Centre in Havant at around 8:15pm on Saturday, November 28.
