AN ANGRY driver allegedly rammed into a mum's car in a fast food car park three times and screamed abuse at her before speeding off.

Shocked witnesses have revealed that a male driver of a BMW was swearing and shouting abuse at the woman in front of him as they waited to drive out of a McDonald’s car park in Southampton.

Now one witness’s Facebook status has been shared more than 4,000 times after she took to social media to “rant.”

McDonald’s bosses have confirmed that an incident occurred at the Swaythling branch in High Road at the weekend.

Jennifer White from Southampton took to Facebook on May 1, telling her friends she had “witnessed something quite shocking" in a post that has been shared more than 4,000 times.

She said: “It was busy and people were waiting to park, but one person didn't have the time and patience to wait. Now it's a very small car park and a little wait is to be expected.

“The driver of a BMW started blasting his horn and screaming abuse at the woman in front, he then partially got out of his car wildly shouting and swearing.

“The woman called out her window and quite calmly said "look I can't, you will have to wait."

At this the man then jumped back in his car and started revving his engine, then he rammed the back of the woman's car three times.”

Jennifer said in her status that the woman had a young daughter in the front passenger seat who was “very scared” but the man apparently also had a child in his car who was “visibly terrified.”

Jennifer added: “The woman got out of her car and surprisingly calmly yelled "don't hit my car".

He then swung the front of his car round and drove at her. She quickly sidestepped and he missed her by a matter of inches.

“He managed to manoeuvre his car round hers, while continuing his torrent of abuse and then sped off up the road towards the university.”

Along with her status Jennifer shared an image which shows the back of the BMW as it was driving away and the back of the woman as she goes to get back in her car.

Jennifer said the woman was “obviously very shaken” and after the incident she got out to see if she was alright and told the woman that she would provide a statement for police.

Jennifer added: “I feel moved to share this image and story so that others are aware that there is a disgustingly dangerous man driving around the Swaythling area of Southampton.”

A McDonald’s spokesperson: “We can confirm an incident occurred in the car park of our High Road restaurant on May 1. We have reviewed CCTV footage of the incident and will be sharing this with the police to help in their enquiries.”
