Scorer Barnard without a boss at Oldham!
2:23pm Sunday 3rd February 2013

SAINTS loanee Lee Barnard scored on his Oldham debut – then saw the manager that signed him resign today!
Barnard’s goal gave his new club a 1-0 lead at Walsall in yesterday’s League 1 encounter, only for the hosts to hit back and win 3-1.
That was the club’s eighth league loss in nine outings and boss Paul Dickov resigned his post today – a week after guiding Oldham to a sensational FA Cup victory over Liverpool at Boundary Park.
Elsewhere, both Steve De Ridder and Jonathan Forte got off to losing starts at their new clubs.
They came on as a second half sub for Bolton and Sheffield United respectively in 2-1 losses at Watford and at home to Coventry in the Championship and League 1 respectively.
But a fourth Saints loanee, Ben Reeves, enjoyed a winning start at new club Southend. He came on as an 81st minute sub and Ryan Leonard’s goal four minutes later gave the Shrimpers a League 2 home win against Oxford United.

They need a STRIKER who will take his chances.
There are many similiarities that you can draw from Plymouth (league 2) to THE MIGHTY SOUTHAMPTON (Premier League Class)
Next season GREEN ARMY will be taking the FIGHT to the pompey ****
guaranteed !!
We have had our battles with GA - and all can remember the Victory AWAY (Ref U Tube) and the celebrations of our Supporters.
WE ARE SOUTHAMPTON. NUMBER ONE IN THE SOUTH.
THE MIGHTY SOUTHAMPTON CAN

DEFENSIVE REVIEW
1. To move up the PREMIER LEAGUE we need teeth in the centre of our defence (hard as nails) and in should come Jose Fonte and our new January Signing. (F+F) after lots of hard work on the World Class training facilities. SHAW / CLYNE to remain as RB/LB pairing.
Jos is good and has FIGHT - but in team pairings still leaks goals. When the crowd scream "HIT HIM" - in should go the clean and fair defensive tackle to wipe out the attacking threat.
It takes lots of hard work on the Training Ground to get it just right.
Luke needs to work in training with the selected Defensive Pairings so instinctively he can work the offside trap.
2. Only partly satisfied with January Business. Should have added a STRIKE OPTION so we convert all the chances we create and take all 3 POINTS (game after game) to move up to MID TABLE SAFETY.
AWAY FROM HOME - MAGNIFICENT FANS (RF) AND SOME GOOD FOOTBALLING PERFORMANCES
AT FORTRESS ST MARY'S - TOP FANS - NEED TO STOP CONCEDING AND PUT AWAY OUR CHANCES TO WIN-WIN-WIN.
