Southampton’s Gary Stafford was crowned Southampton Darts Series winner when he beat all before him in the finals.
Hampshire player Stafford picked up one win in the 12-match series and had to get the better of Bryan Laws, Colin Littlecott and Luke Getty to reach the last two on finals’ night.
There he faced Gosport’s Luke Bradshaw who had not reached a final throughout the summer tournament but saved his form to get the better of Dave Hayes, Brad Hatch and Bradley Kirk. However he ran out of steam up against Stafford, losing 8-2.
Thomas Chant from Ferndown won four tournaments throughout the series to be named table winner.
Jane Monaghan from Southsea won the women’s title, defeating Andover’s Sam Pike in the final.
Gosport’s Steve Janaway won the Plate compeittion, getting the better of Eastleigh player Lionel Webster in the final.
Players recorded 200 maximums over the 12 weeks with 21 of them coming from Bradley Kirk.
