Toby Alderweireld is the only Saints player in Euro 2016 qualifying action today.

The defender is with Belgium for their trip to Israel (7.45pm), as they look to climb to the top of Group B.

Alderweireld played the full game on Saturday, as Belgium thumped Cyprus 5-0 at home.

That result leaves them third in the group, with eight points from their four matches.

A victory in Jerusalem tonight would see them leapfrog Israel, who are a point ahead of them, and put them above leaders Wales on goal difference.

In terms of Saints stars in international action today, Maya Yoshida will kick things off this morning, as Japan host Uzbekistan in a JAL Challenge Cup friendly, in Tokyo (11.25am).

Jose Fonte is also likely to get a run out, as Portugal host Cape Verde Islands in a friendly (8.45pm).

Fonte played the majority of his country’s 2-1 win against Serbia in Sunday’s Euro 2016 qualifier and could get the opportunity to strengthen his claim for a regular place in the starting line-up.

Elsewehere, Cody Cropper is with the United States, for their friendly away to Switzerland (5pm), while Callum Slattery could feature for England under-16s against their Mexico counterparts in the Montaigu Tournament (5.30pm), in France Sadio Mane, who played for Senegal in their 2-1 friendly win over Ghana, in Le Havre, on Saturday, has another contest to look forward to.

Senegal face French club side Le Havre AC in a friendly (7.45pm).
